👋 Hello, I’m Chris and welcome to my personal blog. In the working week, I’m a Systems Engineer @ Auto Trader UK . If you’re interested in how we do things there, be sure to check out our Engineering Blog where you’ll see some great articles on how we use cutting edge technologies to support the biggest online car marketplace in the United Kingdom.

This space however is where I talk about personal projects and interesting bits and pieces. I’m forever curious with technology so I like experiment and learn new things in my spare time as well as at work. I started this blog as a bit of fun, and to give a little back to the tech community from whom I’ve learned lots from over the years. It’s also a great way to really get into the guts of things and sharpen your knowledge of methods and technologies.

This blog was originally hosted on Google’s Blogger platform, but as I outgrew its feature set, I needed an alternative. After a few experiments, the blog’s code now resides in GitHub & it’s built, released and hosted by Netlify . Stay tuned for a blog post on how that fits together soon!
